Team Tiny Treasures shipped out this care package to baby Chloe's family in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Little Chloe was born sleeping 25 weeks into the pregnancy. Included in this care package are a prayer shawl, personalized candle, personalized journal, tissue holder, and comfort bear, and layette: angel gown; bonnet; diaper; and blanket. It is an honor for us to be able to give this care package to this family at Chloe's mother's request. These items were made in memory of April Rose Aguilar and the Hagen babies. |

We sent fifty bereavement layette sets today to Sentara Leigh Hospital (Norfolk, VA). Included in these sets are 50 blankets, 50 sets of bereavement diapers; 45 hats; 23 angel gowns; 21 tunics; 6 bereavement gowns from our Brides to Babies Project and 2 pairs of booties. These items, which will fit babies from about 20 to 33 weeks gestational age, were made in memory of April Rose Aguilar; the Bos babies; the Golob, Kunitz, and Yeo babies; the Hagen babies; the Rousu babies; Robert Earl Thomson; and all babies gone too soon.
To serve a number of local hospitals, we provided 120 layettes to Halos of the St. Croix Valley, a local nonprofit organization that serves families experiencing child loss. These layettes consisted of 120 mini blankets; 120 pairs of stockinette hats (one for the baby, one for the parents); 116 buntings; 16 pairs of bereavement diapers; and 4 angel pockets. Items in these layettes were made in memory of April Rose Aguilar, the Hagen babies, the Rousu babies, Robert Earl Thomson, and all babies gone too soon. Thanks so much to Ann, Carla, Carol, Christelle, Dottie, Kay, Marilyn, Pauline, Rosalind and Sheila for these items.
These sixteen layettes were delivered by Tiny Treasures's Community Representative, Deanna Loomis to Woodwinds Hospital (Woodbury MN). Included in this donation are sixty-five items: thirteen sewn blankets; eleven pairs of bereavement diapers; ten pairs of stockinette hats; six buntings; five tunics; five crocheted hats; three angel gowns; three crocheted blankets; two pairs of crocheted booties and two pairs of knitted booties; two comfort bears; one crocheted angel gown; one knitted hat; and one bereavement gown through our Brides to Babies Project.
The three components of the fundraiser were a Facebook Fundraiser shared with my own personal friends; a donation box and Silent Auction at our Fall Volunteer Drive and Open House; and a tiny fundraising appeal to new volunteers. My Facebook friends generously gave $325. The Fall Open House and Silent Auction raised $141 (the single dollar was from my ten-year-old son 🥰) and a new volunteer became a Titanium Community Sponsor with a $250 gift! 😲 Thanks to all of those who gave! Team Tiny Treasures is well prepared to ship bereavement layettes and care packages to families facing or experiencing baby loss in 2022.
