These layettes include 80 buntings, 80 pairs of bereavement diapers, and 30 blankets. Thanks to Marilyn, a Member of Team Tiny Treasures, for making these buntings (and a whole bunch more I forgot to photograph; Marilyn sewed 54 buntings!) for our littlest babies. The smaller size fits baby 14-16 weeks and the larger size fits babies 17-19 weeks. These buntings are bound for Halos of the St. Croix Valley for use in their early loss program.
These twelve layettes are headed to Aurora Bay Care Medical Center (Green Bay, WI). These layettes are specially designed to fit tiny micropreemies of about 20 to 23 weeks of pregnancy. Included in this layette donation are twelve pairs of bereavement diapers, ten tunics, ten sewn blankets, eight crocheted hats and bonnets, two pairs of stockinette hats, two crocheted buntings, one mini quilt, and one crocheted blanket. These items were made in memory of baby Riley; April Rose Aguilar; the Golob, Kunitz, and Yeo babies; Anais Zelie and Theophilus Justin Hagen, and all babies gone too soon; and in honor of the Campbell grandchildren.
Halos of the St. Croix Valley (New Richmond, WI) is one of the organizations we partner with on a regular basis. In November, we were able to resupply Halos with fifty buntings and pairs of stockinette hats to fit babies 14-19 weeks. Halos services a wide local area, and so these items will be used throughout the entire Twin Cities and western Wisconsin area. Team Tiny Treasures shipped these items to Blooma in Minneapolis, MN: eight blankets (including five sewn and three crocheted), eight hats or sets of stockinette hats (including three crocheted hats; three sets of stockinette hats, and two knitted hats), four comfort bears, three angel gowns (including two from our Brides to Babies Project), three sets of diapers, three sets of booties, two buntings, one angel pocket, one cocoon, one romper, one tunic, one tissue holder, and one diaper ornament.
These items were made in memory of April Rose Aguilar; Chad Boline; the Golob, Kunitz, and Yeo babies; Anais, Luke, and Valentina Hagen; Robert Earl Thomson, and all babies gone too soon. |
