Thanks to Team Tiny Treasures Member, Marilyn K., for making these adorable large buntings. These will help us be ready for the next time a hospital asks to fill up their supply cupboards.
Thanks so much to my mother, Marilyn K., for making 10 large buntings to fill in gaps in the Tiny Treasury. Having a stock of items on hand is crucial in case we get an urgent request from a family or facility. These little buntings are so beautiful!
Thanks to Marilyn for donating thirty pairs of matching diapers (not pictured), twenty small buntings, and one solo small sized diaper throughout April. So much sewing!! Many of the diapers were made for Halos of the St. Croix Valley for a special early pregnancy loss project at Western Wisconsin Health in Baldwin, WI. Thanks, Marilyn!!
In March, Marilyn was on fire! She donated 47 buntings (not all pictured), 32 sewn blankets, 13 bereavement gowns (through our Brides to Babies Project) and three pairs of preemie size cloth diapers. Many of these items already been out the door, ready in case they are needed.
To serve a number of local hospitals, we provided 120 layettes to Halos of the St. Croix Valley, a local nonprofit organization that serves families experiencing child loss. These layettes consisted of 120 mini blankets; 120 pairs of stockinette hats (one for the baby, one for the parents); 116 buntings; 16 pairs of bereavement diapers; and 4 angel pockets. Items in these layettes were made in memory of April Rose Aguilar, the Hagen babies, the Rousu babies, Robert Earl Thomson, and all babies gone too soon. Thanks so much to Ann, Carla, Carol, Christelle, Dottie, Kay, Marilyn, Pauline, Rosalind and Sheila for these items.
These sixteen layettes were delivered by Tiny Treasures's Community Representative, Deanna Loomis to Woodwinds Hospital (Woodbury MN). Included in this donation are sixty-five items: thirteen sewn blankets; eleven pairs of bereavement diapers; ten pairs of stockinette hats; six buntings; five tunics; five crocheted hats; three angel gowns; three crocheted blankets; two pairs of crocheted booties and two pairs of knitted booties; two comfort bears; one crocheted angel gown; one knitted hat; and one bereavement gown through our Brides to Babies Project.
A care package is on its way to a local family who experienced the loss of their baby, Maximilian Regina. Our thoughts and prayers are with this family. Included in this care package are a prayer shawl; comfort bear; personalized diaper ornament and journal; tissue holder, angel pouch for ultrasound photos or other mementos; and a candle. Care packages are available upon request for any family experiencing loss.
In March 2021, Tiny Treasures Founder and Coodinator, Christelle, sewed and personalized a journal and made a mother's bracelet for a care package for a family suffering a pregnancy loss. Christelle also sewed two large buntings, and knitted a pair of booties for the Treasury.
